Something i accidentally got while messing around with voxal voice changer by nch software. It was a background noise of my mom closing a door, and i decided to put it in reverse and i couldn't help but notice that it sounded like a low "whoosh" transition. So i opened it in wavepad and added echo + reverb and voila.

For this sound i used 4 differents kind of tonality :440 hz392 hz349,2 hz329,6 hzand then i used the effect low and high and i put an higher pitched sound to make a sound more like videogames style, just like my other sound named stagecleared. This sound have a sad purpose like when lose at a game.

Skates on ice: here is a very specific sound effect. The metallic slash through ice when it is being skated on. There are multiple variations of this in this track due to the amount of contact the blade of the skate has to the ice and also the force being put into the movement. It is a sharp and cold sound. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.

The sound of ethanol being burned out of a glass jug. This sound was made by putting a small amount of ethanol into a glass jug and allowing the vapors to fill the container. I generate 2 tracks. For the former, i have generated a wave whistle sinusoid, log on interpolating 3 seconds. Then i add silences and i put the echo effect. On the second track, i generated an a in 3 seconds, then i added the wah-wah effects, cross fade in and out. Finally, i deleted the sound on the 2 tracks.

Since i was walking in the riaza river gorges i saw a lot of ants on the remains of an animal. I put over a pair of contact mics trying not to disturb to the ants. Maybe the sound you can hear in this audio is produced by the ants eating or the. "hoces del río riaza" natural park (segovia) / 2010-09-04 11:00.

The oud is an oriental instrument,which is being played at egypt,syria ,palestine,maroc,algeria,jordania. Greece etc. . . It is the predecessor of the european lute,but sounds quite different. The original samples are very short. I put them into my akai 2000,looped them and tried to give them a synthetic decay. The file contains a collection of twenty different samples,arranged from d 1 to f 3.

I like to put special attention into not only the sounds and rhythms used in my work, but also the shape of the tracks itself when looked at in an audio editor. I enjoy working with dc-offsetted sounds, as i believe that, although there is not much of a difference when listened to, they must be picked up differently somehow by the brain.

Was cooking a ham steak one night and when poking it with a fork noticed it made some awesomely gross sounds, lol. I saw this huge storm brewing, so i put my laptop next to an open window, thinking that i might record a nice atmospheric recording of rain and light thunder, and i caught this thing, no more than 500m away. I had the sensitivity turned all the way up, and the microphone i am using isn't the best, but someone might get a use of it :).

Three ceramic objects - a bowl, a bottle and a jug - clanking against each other, being handled and put down; at the end the bowl is scraped slightly and hit with a metalic object. It's a recording of sounds of an old store refridgerator. The recorder (zoom h2) was put into the fridge. There are sounds of fridge getting opened and closed, started up and stopped. My phone ringing, me pressing the talk button, me yelling, me hanging up, and then me yelling again. This was made a long time ago. I think i had just put together some sounds i recorded for no reason in order to get this. Sorry about the poor quality. At the time i didn't have a good microphone.

open channel d, "channel d open". This is suppossed to be the sound of napoleon solo's pen communicator in the man from uncle, the tv spy series of the 1960's (i was a big fan as a teenager). I put this as the ringtone for members of my family whose phone calls i cannot ignore. It was created using the ringtone generator on a nokia 3620 mobile phone.

I took a clip from the audio i recorded of wax paper crinkling, cut a segment from it, played it backwards, put it on loop, layered it with the original, and this is what i got. There is an somewhat syncopated pattern to the sounds, but the audio is cut off before it makes a full cycle. Enjoy.
